December 09, 2025

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), a leading Catholic health ministry with operations in Illinois and Wisconsin, announced today that Lauren Respress has been named System Director of Accountable Care Services.

Respress has been serving as interim System Director of Accountable Care Services since August 2025. In this role, she partners with Dr. James Bock, HSHS Chief Medical Officer for Physician Enterprise, to drive performance and engagement across the patient care continuum for accountable care, value-based care and population health through the System’s existing and future accountable care structures and payment models.

Respress joined HSHS in September 2021 as System Manager, Care Coordination and Utilization for Accountable Care. Her background includes working in the hospital setting as a registered nurse for over 12 years, serving in a renal and transplant unit, followed by working in the perioperative space, before transitioning into leadership.

She has over seven years of experience in leadership and quality roles within ambulatory and surgical settings. Her most recent work experience has been in population health and value-based care, including responsibility for designing and optimizing programs that align with contract incentives and patient outcomes.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. John’s College of Nursing and her associate degree in nursing from Lincoln Land Community College.
