Courtney Garrison, APRN Joins HSHS Medical Group

HSHS Medical Group welcomes Courtney Garrison, APRN, to Family and Internal Medicine Maryville at 2401 S. Center St. in Maryville. Garrison is accepting new patients and provides family medicine care for individuals and families across the lifespan, with an emphasis on preventive care, routine screenings, women’s health exams and chronic disease management. She has a special interest in supporting patients managing common long-term health concerns, including high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, and anxiety and depression.

Garrison’s patient care philosophy focuses on health promotion, disease prevention and patient education. She emphasizes partnership and clear communication so patients feel heard and empowered to make informed decisions. Garrison brings bedside nursing experience in medical-surgical care, cardiology, neurology, critical care and obstetrics, and she values serving the community she calls home and mentoring nursing students and new graduate nurses.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois, and completed a Master of Science in nursing at Maryville University with a family nurse practitioner concentration. Her advanced clinical training includes family and internal medicine, women’s health and urgent care, along with additional experience in pediatrics and hospital-based acute care.
