Drive-Thru Flu Vaccine Clinics in Taylorville

September 19, 2025

To make it easier for families to stay healthy this flu season, HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care – Taylorville will host two drive-thru flu vaccine clinics on Saturday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The clinics will be held at HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care – Taylorville, 1304 W. Burnett Drive, Taylorville, Ill. Families can receive their flu shot without ever leaving the car, offering a safe and convenient way to get vaccinated.

“Flu vaccines are the best defense against influenza and its complications,” said Dr. Poojitha Kolluri, Family Medicine Physician in Taylorville. “Our drive-thru clinics make it easy for people of all ages to protect themselves and those around them.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the annual flu vaccine is the most effective way to reduce the risk of seasonal flu and related complications. Benefits of vaccination include:
•    Reducing the chance of getting sick with flu.
•    Reducing the severity of flu symptoms if illness occurs.
•    Reducing the risk of flu-associated hospitalizations.

The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive a flu vaccine each year. Children, older adults and individuals with chronic health conditions are especially encouraged to get vaccinated due to their higher risk of serious complications.
