HSHS Medical Group Announces the September 2022 C.A.R.E. Award Winners

Provider of the Month

Sarah Wickenhauser, APRN

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Sarah Wickenhauser, APRN, with our September Provider of the Month Award. Sarah is a family nurse practitioner with LeadWell, HSHS Medical Group’s corporate health and wellness program.

The Provider of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. “Sarah is the most passionate and caring person you could ask for. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and good about yourself as a person,” her nominator said. “She is always willing to help out and be there if you are in need.”

When asked what her favorite part of her job is, Sarah said, “Working with my wonderful coworkers!” She says, “I work to build genuine, authentic connections with people to have open and trusting relationships. I strive to respect everyone for who they are so that I may build a rapport that enables open communication that will lead to quality care. I try to treat others how I would want to be treated.”

Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

Colleague of the Month

Bari Baum

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Bari Baum with our September Colleague of the Month Award. Bari is a medical assistant at HSHS Holy Family Health Center in Greenville, Illinois.

The Colleague of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members and patients. “Bari truly demonstrates the mission and core values and made our experience very positive,” her nominator said. “We were blessed to have Bari taking care of us!”

When asked what her favorite part of her job is, Bari said, “I love meeting, getting to know and caring for the local people.” She said, “My greatest joy has always come from caring for others. This experience has helped me become a better listener and to appreciate the similarities that most people share. My guiding principles are to treat all people the same, with honesty and compassion.”

When not working as a medical assistant, Bari enjoys spending time with her husband, Dean, and cheering on the Cardinals.
