HSHS Medical Group Awards Physician of the Month to Imtiaz Bangash, MD

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to award Imtiaz Bangash, MD, with our March Physician of the Month Award. Dr. Bangash is a hospitalist for HSHS Medical Group Hospitalist Program St. Mary’s in Decatur, Illinois.
The Physician of the Month is chosen from nominations submitted by fellow HSHS Medical Group team members. “Dr. Bangash is so kind and pleasant to work with,” his nominator said. “He always has a positive attitude, a smile on his face and connects well with colleagues, staff, patients and families.”
“I am thankful to God for giving me the opportunity to be part of a profession where you can make a difference every single day,” Dr. Bangash said. “I dedicate this award to my wonderful team, whose unwavering support has made this possible. I am a strong believer in team spirit and though one might be the ‘face’ of an achievement, the credit equally goes to the entire team.”
When Dr. Bangash isn’t helping his patients, he enjoys all kinds of sports, music, traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people.
