HSHS Medical Group Welcomes Samantha Olmstead, DNP, APRN, Internal Medicine

HSHS Medical Group is pleased to welcome Samantha Olmstead, DNP, APRN, to our medical team. Samantha has joined HSHS Medical Group on Mathers Road in Springfield (2801 Mathers Rd.) to support Alfred Harney, MD, and Valerie Thompson, MD, in caring for patients ages 60 and older.
As a primary care provider, Samantha will assist Dr. Harney and Dr. Thompson with patient care. As an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), Samantha is a highly trained health care professional capable of diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, as well as medication management.
Samantha earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois. She received her Master of Science in Nursing, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, from Chamberlain College of Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University, both in Addison, Illinois.
“I love building a relationship with patients and that is one of the biggest advantages of working in primary care,” Samantha said.
