HSHS St. Francis Hospital announces BEE Award recipient

HSHS St. Francis Hospital recently presented the Being Exceptional Everyday (BEE) Award to Brenda Albrecht, CNA, medical-surgical unit.

She was nominated by colleagues and patients, who stated, “Brenda was very helpful and made me feel right at home,” and “She is always willing to go above and beyond.” Additional comments shared were:

• “Brenda has a smile on her face no matter what and is always so kind.”
• “She went above and beyond for my family member, and if we could, we would take Brenda home with us.”
• “Brenda is kind, caring, and spends extra time with her patients to ensure their needs are met. She is a great asset to the hospital.” 

The BEE Award was established to recognize colleagues outside of nursing who go beyond expectations of their daily work to exemplify the hospital’s Mission and deliver outstanding service to patients. Distribution of St. Francis Hospital’s semi-annual BEE Award is made possible through funds provided by HSHS St. Francis Foundation.

Nominations for future BEE and other awards at St. Francis Hospital continue to be accepted. Patients and visitors are encouraged to share and submit their story of witnessing excellent and compassionate care from staff. Award descriptions and an online nomination form can be found on the home page of the hospital’s web site at stfrancis-litchfield.org and selecting “Recognize a Colleague” under the Patients & Guests menu, or on paper forms available throughout the hospital.
