Nursing leadership recently appointed

The HSHS St. Francis Hospital announces the promotion of two nursing colleagues to leadership roles. Heather Senaldi RN, BSN, was named the director of nursing over multiple departments and Deanna Ellis, RN, BSN, was named nurse manager of the medical-surgical and intensive care units at HSHS St. Francis Hospital. 

“We are focused on creating an organization that supports the career development of our colleagues. I am excited to welcome these two compassionate and dedicated leaders to their new roles. I know they will bring their experience and skills to drive quality nursing care and continue our high scores in patient satisfaction,” said President and CEO Jim Timpe. 

Senaldi (pictured left), a resident of Staunton, Illinois, has worked at St. Francis since 2013 and served as nurse manager of the medical-surgical and intensive care units. Prior to that role, she was the facilitator for medical-surgical and started her career as a staff nurse in that unit. Senaldi received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Lewis and Clark Community College in 2013 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014.

Ellis, RN, BSN (pictured right), resides in Gillespie, Illinois. She has been employed by St. Francis since 2017. Prior to this role, she served as House Supervisor, was a staff nurse between the Medical-Surgical and ICU departments and served on various committees. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Lewis and Clark Community College in 2016 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020.
