Giving Tuesday Offers a Season of Renewal for HSHS St. John’s Foundation
November 21, 2025
With Giving Tuesday approaching on Dec. 2, HSHS St. John’s Foundation is encouraging community members to give in support of patient-centered programs and services at HSHS St. John’s Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital. The initiative is being led by the Foundation’s new director, Ali Farmer, who began the role this summer and has been collaborating with teams across the hospital to elevate donor engagement.
“This is an exciting moment for St. John’s Foundation,” said Farmer. “I’m eager to build on our incredible history of compassion and bring new energy to our fundraising efforts as we shape the next 150 years of care for our community.”
Before being named Director of HSHS St. John’s Foundation, Famer served as an active member of the foundation’s leadership council for several years. She most recently worked as Director of Sales for Huddle Up (formerly DotCom Therapy), where she led a multidisciplinary team across the country to consistently exceed sales targets in the health care and digital health space. Farmer also played a key role in supporting the company’s fundraising efforts by developing compelling narratives that linked clinical outcomes to business value. Under her leadership, the team secured multiple multimillion-dollar enterprise contracts with health systems, payors and self-insured organizations.
Previously, she served as Manager for Development at Vanderbilt University Medical School, where she advanced key fundraising initiatives, developed compelling cases for support, authored
successful grant proposals, and cultivated lasting partnerships with donors, alumni and corporate
sponsors. Farmer also supported the earliest fundraising efforts for a 14,000-square-foot facility serving both Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Farmer serves on the Springfield Park District Board of Trustees and resides with her husband and two sons in Springfield.
