Colleagues collect items for area food pantries

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese colleagues recently collected items for area food pantries to support local communities. To ensure a variety of needed items were collected, colleagues “picked feathers” from a paper turkey to select the items they were donating to the hospital’s annual food collection. Shown with the paper turkey and the collected items are Chris Gebke, director of volunteer services (left), and Sr. Pamela Falter, OSF, manager of spiritual care (right). The food pantries supported by the hospital’s collection were the House of Manna, Green Bean, Matthew 25, St Vincent de Paul, New Baden Zion and New Baden Baptist.
