Convenient Care services will not resume in New Baden

March 30, 2022

Due to the continued operational needs and provider availability at Clinton County Rural Health Breese, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese will not resume Convenient Care services in New Baden.

“Since moving the walk-in clinic services to our Breese campus in July 2021, we have seen a major increase in patients from all over our service area using this service,” shared Chris Klay, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital’s president and CEO. “Based on this increase and the current provider coverage available, we are unable to reopen the Convenient Care service in New Baden. However, all other outpatient services will continue to be offered at this location.”

“Please know that the hospital continues to assess opportunities for other services to utilize the open clinic space in order to best serve the health needs of New Baden and surrounding areas.” added Klay.

Outpatient services for lab, X-ray imaging and physical therapy will continue to be offered in New Baden on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physical therapy is offered by appointment. To inquire about X-ray imaging or lab services, call 618-588-7000. To make an appointment for physical therapy, call 618-526-5436.
