"Keeping Us In Stitches" quilt raffle to be held May 21

Thirty hand- and machine-quilted quilts in a rainbow of colors will be offered on the “Keeping Us In Stitches” raffle sponsored this spring by the Auxiliary at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese.
“We have a number of beautiful quilts that we’d love to go home with someone,” said Auxiliary Quilt Chair Joann Timmermann.
Tickets are $25 each and only 400 numbered tickets will be sold on the 30-quilt raffle, Timmermann said. The drawing will be Saturday, May 21, the final day of the Auxiliary’s Used Book Fair and Bake Sale at the Breese American Legion.

Proceeds from the “Keeping Us In Stitches” quilt raffle, the Used Book Sale and Bake Sale and other Auxiliary activities benefit HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese for the organization’s health care education grants.
For anyone needing a quilt in a hurry, the hospital Gift Shop has completed quilts and throws in a variety of colors and sizes – including crib-size – as well as quilt tops with material for binding.
The baby quilts, all hand-quilted and generally in pastels, feature a variety of subjects. Some tops are pre-printed, while others feature stitched tops or blocks. Larger quilts, some with stitched blocks, are available in various colors and patterns; most are machine quilted.
