St. Joseph's welcomes new physical therapist

March 08, 2023

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese has welcomed a new physical therapist to their team, Laura Caudle, PT, CAPP-PELVIC, Cert. MDT.

Caudle has been a physical therapist since 1995 starting with a strong foundation treating both neurological and orthopedic conditions. But her real passion is found in women’s health. When living in a small town years ago, she noticed an absence of women’s health care, prompting her to begin a journey to advance her skills in this area.  She received the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) from the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and is also certified in the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®. She graduated as a physical therapist from Saint Louis University.

Caudle shared, “I found my purpose in providing the highest quality care to my patients. I take a holistic approach to helping each patient stay on a healing path. I want my patients to return to life — chores, running, exercise and pleasure — with confidence.”

Pelvic dysfunction with or without pain is common and can have a major impact on daily life. Pelvic conditions, like other health issues, increasingly affect women and men with age. They often go unreported, but fortunately, they can be helped with the assistance of a qualified physical therapist.

Conditions treated include:

  • Urinary incontinence
  • GI/gut disorders
  • Vaginal pain
  • Abdominal pain
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Back pain associated with pregnancy
  • Postpartum
  • Pelvic and perineal pain
  • Complex pain
  • Difficulty returning to exercise
