Around the world, doctors and nurses face patients they can't fully help. A broken infant warmer. A missing ultrasound machine. A hospital bed that never arrived. These aren't rare stories — they're a daily reality for the communities Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach serves.

For almost 25 years, Mission Outreach has carried forward the healing legacy of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, reaching 102 countries and 28 million people annually. Mission Outreach delivers donated medical equipment and supplies, trains local professionals to use and maintain them and stands beside partner hospitals long after the need first arises.

Now, a $2.17 million, three-year campaign will help Mission Outreach do even more — building a stronger biomedical engineering lab, reaching more mothers and children, responding faster to disaster, and equipping more medical mission teams.

Your support turns a shortage into hope, and a hospital's need into a patient's chance to heal.

Where Your Gift Goes

Four priorities, four ways to help Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach reach more patients around the world.

Donated medical equipment only helps patients when it works — and keeps working.

Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach is building a 30,000-square-foot warehouse expansion, including a new 3,000-square-foot biomedical engineering lab, where Mission Outreach's engineers will test, repair and prepare equipment before it ships, and train the local professionals who will care for it once it arrives.

When a hospital in Tanzania needed a working c-arm imaging system, this is the process that made it possible.

$670,000 to build and furnish the lab, plus $65,000 a year in ongoing support
Every two minutes, a woman dies from complications related to pregnancy or childbirth and nearly 90% of those deaths happen in low-resource countries.

Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach ships infant warmers, fetal monitors, incubators and birthing beds to hospitals that need them most and provides Clean Birth Kits so mothers don't have to bring their own supplies to safely deliver a baby.

At one partner hospital, new fetal monitoring technology helped clinicians see 50 more safe deliveries a month.

$220,000 a year
When war, flooding or other disaster strikes, hospitals need help fast — and they need it to last.

Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach has shipped 15+ containers of medical supplies to hospitals near the front lines in Ukraine and partnered with Bon Secours Mercy Health to bring clean water to flood-damaged clinics in Peru.

Your gift helps fund an Emergency Response Fund so Mission Outreach can move quickly when the next crisis hits and stay to help communities rebuild.

$100,000 a year
More than five billion people worldwide lack access to safe surgical care. Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach equips volunteer medical mission teams with the surgical supplies they need to perform hernia repairs, pediatric heart surgery and other life-changing procedures in Central America, South America, Africa and beyond.

Today, more than 100 medical mission teams rely on Mission Outreach for donated supplies and demand keeps growing.
