Radiothon Returns November 19-20

Two days of radio broadcasts and community generosity will help make a difference in the lives of children receiving care at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital. In partnership with Children’s Miracle Network, Radiothon returns Thursday, Nov. 19, and Friday, Nov. 20, featuring 103.7 WDBR, 101.9 the WOLF and WTAX 1240 AM/93.9 FM broadcasting live from the hospital.
Radiothon raises funds for equipment, programs and special items that help children and their families feel more comfortable and supported throughout their hospital experience. Donations help fund lifesaving equipment, the Child Life Program, music therapy, distraction items, wagons to transport patients, books, toys and more.
“Every child deserves the best possible care, and that means caring for more than just their medical needs,” said Aryn Hunter, Chief Administrative Officer of HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital. “From lifesaving equipment to therapies that support their experience, including art, music, crafts, toys and other comforts, these resources help us care for the whole child and support families during what can be a difficult time. We are grateful to everyone who gives their time and makes a donation to Radiothon. Their generosity makes a real difference for the children and families we serve.”
Community support helps St. John’s Children’s Hospital provide compassionate, child-centered care to children throughout central Illinois. By tuning in, sharing the stories featured during Radiothon and making a gift, local residents can help ensure children and their families have the resources and support they need.
Founded more than 40 years ago, Children’s Miracle Network includes 170 children’s hospitals – such as St. John’s Children’s Hospital – across the United States and Canada.
