Colleagues invite community to join in basket raffle for Special Olympics

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland colleagues and Mission committee invite the community to join them in their latest mission event, a basket raffle for Special Olympics Illinois Region J.

Various St. Joseph’s departments have put together baskets to raffle off. From Feb. 19 through March 22, baskets will be available for viewing and tickets can be purchased near the hospital gift shop. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6 tickets (cash only).  

Tickets can be purchased at the following locations Feb.19 to March 22:

• Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Joseph’s Hospital Gift Shop and 1-4 p.m. at the front registration desk.
• Thursday mornings from 8:30-10 a.m. outside the gift shop.

Winners will be contacted the afternoon of March 22 and throughout the following week. 

Basket proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Illinois Region J serving Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Fayette, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, St. Clair and Washington counties. Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
