Your Future. Our Mission.

HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital is embarking on a $17.2 million Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) renovation to provide critically ill newborns and their loved ones a more modern, comfortable and spacious care environment.

Our Vision

Our NICU clinical teams provide extraordinary care every day. This investment is about enhancing the physical space that care is provided in and making it more comfortable for our littlest patients and the families who love them.

Updates will include modern elements that meet the unique needs of NICU patients, families, and medical experts:

  • Private and semi-private rooms to provide families more space, privacy and comfort.
  • A calm, soothing aesthetic and environment that helps to heal the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.
  • Optimized work areas for clinicians to provide the best possible care and support, while also giving families the space they need to be with their little ones.

We are committed to a thoughtful and purposeful design for our new NICU and will share more updates and images here as plans develop.
