At HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital, kids are a big deal. They’re the focus of our lives and nothing is more important than their health and happiness. That’s why, with our partner Prevea Health, we built a children’s hospital within the walls of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, right here in Green Bay.

As the only children's hospital in Green Bay, we are the biggest commitment to caring for kids that Northeast Wisconsin has ever seen. It’s located inside spaces where every detail is tailored to kids, and in a place close to home… so you don’t have to drive far to get the best possible care for your children.

HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital is part of the Wisconsin division of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).

The Wisconsin division consists of HSHS St. Vincent and St. Mary’s hospitals in Green Bay, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.

Frequently Asked Questions

As patients, children have unique health care needs and require care and attention that’s designed to meet these needs. Children’s hospitals specialize in the unique health care needs of children and treat more complex pediatric cases than other hospitals, in environments that are designed exclusively for kids. Due to their specialization and higher volume of complex cases, children's hospitals offer safer, more effective care.

Children often require more time, monitoring and communication that caters to both them and their families. Here, care for kids involves the family and is delivered by specially trained physicians and clinicians in environments tailored for children. This includes compassionate caregivers who understand children's physical, mental, emotional and behavioral needs; smaller equipment; carefully calculated medication and special procedures.

Children's hospitals, which serve larger regions than adult hospitals, make up less than five percent of all hospitals in the U.S. but provide a significant portion of pediatric acute care. These hospitals are vital centers for pediatric medical education and research, and why we joined the Children’s Hospital Association.

In 2015, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital became a member of the Children’s Hospital Association, the voice for more than 220 children’s hospitals nationwide.

As champions for children’s health, the Children’s Hospital Association advances public policy enabling hospitals to better serve children and builds awareness of child health issues. It is the premier resource for pediatric data and analytics driving improved clinical and operational performance among its hospital members.
As of 2024, HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital is 1 of 5 children’s hospitals in Wisconsin, and 1 of 220 children’s hospitals in the United States.
HSHS St. Vincent Hospital has been serving kids in the Green Bay. Wisconsin area for more than 130 years.

After years of experience, expertise and growth, an important step was taken toward improving pediatric care for families in Northeast Wisconsin, the Lakeshore and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. HSHS St. Vincent Hospital announced the naming of a new children’s hospital, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital, in December 2015.
