X-Ray and Fluoroscopy
An x-ray uses a small amount of radiation to create images of your bones and internal organs. X-rays are most often used to detect bone or joint problems, or to check the heart and lungs.
All Technologists at St. Mary’s are registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in addition to being licensed with the State of Illinois.
We use the following high definition equipment: General Radiography, GE Legacy/GE Precision (Fluoro), Rad-View (General), Siemens’ Direct Capture: Axiom Aristos FX, Kodak Computerized Radiography/Digital and SECTRA PACS
Our department is fully staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for General Radiology. We conduct Special Procedures/Fluoro: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Call us with any questions at 217-464-2984.
