Professional Pathology Services

Associated Pathologists, Ltd. has a long tradition of providing high quality anatomic and clinical pathology services to the patients of Central and Southern Illinois. Our diagnostic pathology and laboratory services are supported by state of the art technology and instrumentation. Our goal is to provide outstanding diagnostic pathology and laboratory services as integral partners with Hospital Sisters Health System and the physicians in our community for the optimal care of every patient.

Pathologists are involved in setting up new tests within the laboratory, providing education to patients and doctors about the tests they are having performed, and making recommendations on the most efficient tests to order when looking for certain diseases. Pathologists train for an additional five years after medical school in order to be able to provide these services.
