Nurse Practitioner Expands Rural Health Care Access in Shelbyville

HSHS Medical Group welcomes Sarah Massey, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, to the HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital Rural Health Clinic, 207 S. Pine St., Suite E, in Shelbyville. Massey provides family medicine care for patients across the lifespan, including preventive care, wellness exams and screenings, immunizations, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Care is centered on clear communication and practical decision-making. Massey works closely with patients to develop care plans that reflect individual goals, daily routines and long-term health needs. Her approach emphasizes prevention, education and consistent follow-up to support better health outcomes.
Massey earned a post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She also holds a Master of Science in nursing (MSN) – clinical nurse leader and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. Massey is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
