Bishop Thomas John Paprocki here to commemorate 75th Anniversary of hospital fire

On April 4, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital commemorated the 75th anniversary of the St. Anthony Hospital fire with a special Mass in the hospital’s chapel celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop Thomas John Paprocki and concelebrated by local clergy. The Mass was in remembrance of the 77 lives lost in the tragic fire which occurred on April 4, 1949.

In attendance at the Mass were leadership from Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) and HSHS St. Anthony’s, along with some Hospital Sisters of St. Francis.
