As your baby grows, he will naturally want to explore his world. You always need to stay one step ahead of your child. Childproofing is discussed, which includes, using gates around staircases. We talk about the safety zone around a crib, and we discuss hot car safety. Many people are not aware that the temperature in cars can increase by 20 degrees or more in just 10 minutes, even when the windows are left open! Front overs and back overs may be new terms to you, but they can occur with large vehicles such as SUVs and pickup trucks because of their bigger blind zones. Children also are at high risk for choking on small toys, coins, or even dog food because their airways are very small. A little planning and preparation can minimize the negative impact of emergencies and natural disasters on your children and your family. Come and learn how to keep your child and your entire family safe!

One support person may attend with you. This is an in-person class. Registration is required. All instructors are registered nurses. The class is free.
