Parenthood Class

This class is designed to prepare you for your new role as a parent. We will discuss the emotional and physical changes that you will experience after the birth of your baby. How will I cope with a baby? Why do babies cry? How can I calm my baby? What kind of support should I have when I get home? These and many more questions will be answered. A local pediatrician will be present to answer questions about how to choose a baby doctor. Registration is required. The class is free for expectant parents delivering at St. John’s Hospital. For expectant parents delivering at a different hospital there is a $25.00 fee payable the evening of class. This class is taught by a registered nurse from the Women and Infants Center. Masks must be worn during class. Please do not register until you are 20 weeks (5 months) gestation or greater.
