Join the fun as we help teach soon-to-be siblings all about babies! During a short video, children will relate to others as they hear stories about becoming a big sister or big brother. The colorful, fast-moving style will capture and hold the attention of young viewers.

Super Siblings class emphasizes the fun parts of being an older sibling while explaining safety issues like holding the baby properly. We will describe and define the term “sibling.” After doing that, the class moves into helping the children understand the different ways families prepare for a new baby.

This class helps with understanding of how family routines might change after the birth, and how it might impact the older siblings. After the class, they will be able to list what a newborn can and cannot do, and they will also be able to describe what a newborn will look like. Super Siblings class helps explain why babies cry and how they communicate. Children will be able to list ways they can help their parents care for the new baby. They will better understand the different feelings they might have after the baby is born. Register today and help prepare your children for this new baby experience!

This is an in-person class that will be held at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. Instructors are registered nurses that work in our Women & Infants Center. Only register the siblings. Two parents can attend with the siblings. If more than one older sibling, please register each child separately. No need to bring anything to class. Light snacks will be provided. After registration, the week of the event you will receive an email with further instructions. Hope to see you there!
