Women and Infants Center Tours

Welcome to the Women and Infants Center at HSHS St. John’s Hospital! In this tour, you will see the facility and review the process of birth, delivery, and postpartum care. Our tour guides are all registered nurses that are very familiar with our unit. We will discuss with you the steps you will take when arriving at the hospital and what to do after you get here. Visiting guidelines will be discussed, as well as, what you will need during your stay. As you near your due date, it is common to have questions and concerns. There will be an opportunity for you to ask those questions. You will tour our triage area, a labor & delivery room, our antenatal area, and our postpartum unit. We will talk about the average stay for a new mother and her baby while here in the hospital, and what to expect during that stay. The tour will end with talking about the discharge process from the hospital. You may have one support person come with you, but no other children are allowed on the unit with you during the tour. Please do not register until you are 20 weeks (5 months) gestation or greater. We would love to see you and show you around!
