Designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting.
In this course, students learn to practice safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and treat illnesses or injuries. Some classes include CPR training. Additionally, students develop business skills such as screening jobs, setting wages, and working with employers.
The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR!
