Share Memorial Service set for December 6

Each year, the Share support group encourages those who have lost a baby or infant to attend the Share Holiday Memorial Service. This year’s event takes place in the St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. Share is a support group dedicated to comforting and assisting families who have experienced the loss of babies and infants.

The Share Holiday Memorial Service aims to memorialize and honor babies who died during pregnancy, at birth or in early infancy. Families are welcome to bring a reading, photograph or reflection to share as well as an ornament to place on the Share holiday tree in memory of their child. 

At the end of the service, the group will process to the Angel of Hope Statue in the Share Garden. Each family can place a white flower at the feet of the statue, honoring the tradition of Dec. 6, first shared in the worldwide bestseller The Christmas Box.
