October 21, 2025
HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital invites the community to Think Pink: A Women’s Health Event on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Decatur’s newest event venue, The Hostetler, located at 241 N. Main St. in downtown Decatur.
This free evening of food, fun and empowerment will focus on women’s health and breast cancer awareness, featuring two inspiring local leaders: Dr. Nada Lygrisse, DO, of Lakeshore OB/GYN, and Lori Kerans, Vice President for Athletics and Community Engagement at Millikin University.
Dr. Lygrisse will share valuable insights on preventive care and the importance of early detection in saving lives.
“When it comes to breast cancer, knowledge truly is power,” said Dr. Lygrisse. “Regular screenings and understanding your risk factors are essential steps every woman can take to protect her health. Early detection not only saves lives, it gives women more options, more hope and more time.”
Kerans will speak to the strength and unity of women in supporting one another’s health journeys.
“Events like this remind us that women are at our best when we lift each other up,” said Kerans. “Together, we can build a stronger, healthier community by encouraging one another to prioritize wellness and take proactive steps for our health.”
Attendees will enjoy refreshments, giveaways and opportunities to connect, all while supporting the mission to raise awareness for women’s health and breast cancer prevention.
RSVP by Oct. 20 by calling 217-464-7665. Space is limited.
