Nurse of the Year awards announced at HSHS hospitals in Green Bay, Sheboygan and Oconto Falls

Green Bay, Wis. – Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is pleased to announce the *2022 Nurse of the Year award winners from hospitals in Green Bay, Sheboygan and Oconto Falls, as this week marks National Nurses Week.
Nurse of the Year award recipients are honored for demonstrating passion, quality and excellence in nursing and carrying out the core values of HSHS: Respect, Care, Competence and Joy. They are nominated by nursing colleagues and chosen by nursing leadership and the hospitals’ Professional Nurse Practice Council.
Nichole Frisch, RN, BSN, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, Green Bay – Emergency Department: “I feel like every day I come to work I have new experiences and I am updating and mastering my knowledge and skills. I continue to feel excited about the work I do and the impact I have on patients and their families during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. I truly love what I do.”
Alison Bahr, RN, BSN, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan – Emergency Department: “I care for patients by treating them with respect and dignity. I believe that every person deserves to be treated with kindness, empathy, and consideration regardless of their background or health status.”
Misty Reed, RN, BSN, HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls – Surgical Care: “I relate to my patients, and I feel that I have a natural ability to connect compassionately, by not only being professional but also establishing thoughtful and sincere interactions. I believe in building interpersonal relationships with my patients because it gives them a positive feeling of trust, confidence, and demonstrates my passion by providing them comfort toward their care.”
