HSHS Medical Group and HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital are proud to announce the opening of HSHS Medical Group Foot and Ankle Specialists, a new podiatry practice to serve the needs of those in Effingham and surrounding areas. 

HSHS Medical Group Foot and Ankle Specialists will deliver comprehensive podiatric care, treating patients of all ages—from farmers and laborers to athletes and retirees. The practice will offer a full range of services, including:

• Preventive care and treatment: Diabetic foot exams, fungal nail care, ingrown toenail treatment and custom orthotics.
• Surgical solutions: Minimally invasive surgery, bunion and hammer toe correction, tendon repair and ankle stabilization.
• Specialized care: Diabetic wound management, heel pain solutions, neuropathy treatment and arthritis care.
• Sports medicine: Athletic injury treatment, performance optimization and return-to-play assessments.

Stacey Brummer, HSHS Medical Group Director of Operations for Effingham area clinics, shared why HSHS Medical Group wanted to begin offering these services. “We recognized the need for these close-to-home services in our area. No one wants to have to travel far when they have foot pain and this location will allow high-quality care to be accessible and convenient,” she said. “Our goal is simple; it is to help people get back on their feet—literally. Whether it’s pain from a sports injury or managing a chronic diabetic condition, we’re here to help, right here in the community.”

The new office is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including laser therapy, allowing for efficient and precise treatment planning. Dr. Zane Qureshi, Podiatrist
HSHS Medical Group welcomes Zane Qureshi, DPM, ABPM, to its team at HSHS Medical Group Foot and Ankle Specialists in Effingham. Dr. Qureshi is seeing patients at 900 W. Temple Ave., Bldg. B, Suite 2200, in Effingham.

Dr. Qureshi is a board-certified podiatrist who specializes in diabetic foot care, wound management, orthotic therapy and sports medicine. He is committed to enhancing his patients’ quality of life through individualized treatment plans and innovative technologies that streamline care and improve the patient experience.

He offers a broad range of services such as diabetic foot education, advanced wound care therapies, custom orthotics and treatment for heel pain, arthritis and tendonitis. His clinical expertise includes minimally invasive procedures, limb salvage, and rearfoot and forefoot reconstruction.

Dr. Qureshi earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. He completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at Inspira Health Network in New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
