As we honor 150 years of compassionate care and service, we remain focused on our mission to reveal and embody Christ’s healing love for all. Together with our colleagues, volunteers, and supportive communities, we look forward to a future filled with innovation, service, and faith. Here’s to 150 years more!

At the request of Bishop Peter Baltes, Diocese of Alton, Illinois, 20 Hospital Sisters of St. Francis left Muenster, Germany, and arrived in Alton on November 6, 1875 to bring health care services throughout the Diocese.
