HSHS St. Francis Hospital proudly welcomed Hazel Kay Simmons as the first baby born at the hospital in 2026 to Adrienne and Eric Simmons of Hillsboro.
She was born at 3:34 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital, weighing 5 pounds, 11 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.
In celebration of being the first baby born in 2026 at St. Francis Hospital, the baby and family were given a gift card from the hospital presented by the Family Maternity Center nursing team.
