The intravenous (IV) infusion administration of medications

An intravenous (IV) infusion is the medical term for the administration of liquid substances/ medications into the bloodstream. In addition to chemotherapy, the Cancer Care Center offers a full continuum of outpatient infusion services including:

  • Blood transfusions
  • Infusions and injections of supportive medications
  • Immunotherapy treatments to boost the immune system
  • Port maintenance and flushing

The infusion rooms feature:

  • Space for patients, as well as their guests or caregivers to keep them company.
  • Two private infusion rooms and four semi-private infusion bays.
  • Comfortable reclining chairs and individual television monitors for use during treatment.
  • USB and charging ports located within each patient bay for laptops, phones and tablet use.
