New Outpatient Infusion Services Ribbon Cutting Today

September 09, 2025

The HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland and the Highland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting event for the newly opened Outpatient Infusion Services area on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from noon to 1 p.m.

The services are located in the newly renovated space on the first floor of the Medical Office Building in Suite 120 (across from the specialty clinic).

Attendees can tour the space and talk to specially trained infusion nurses and experienced clinical pharmacists about the range of infusion therapies offered at this accessible location. Refreshments will also be served.

The new space was made possible through a $200,000 investment from the HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation.

“Our community deserves access to quality care close to home and this is another example of local care being made accessible to the Highland community,” said Megan Espenschied, RN, MSN, Director of Surgical Services and Radiology at St. Joseph’s. “We greatly appreciate the Foundation and its many local donors who are committed to investing directly back into the community to improve access to care.”

The new infusion space offers a welcoming environment for patients and their families. Therapies offered include, but not limited to:
  • IV Antibiotics
  • Hydration Therapy
  • Blood Products and Iron Infusions
  • Biologic Medications for Autoimmune Disorders
  • Bone Health Medications (Prolia and Reclast)
  • Port-a-cath and PICC Line Maintenance
Outpatient Infusion Services is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information about this service at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland, call 618-651-2561.
