Because HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital believes that true healing begins within, we also provide you and your family with spiritual care.

Whether you're here for outpatient surgical services or have a family member needing extended care, our Pastoral Care staff is here to provide support for you and your family. They understand the anxieties and fears associated with serious medical conditions and other situations, and make pre-surgical visits, administer the sacraments including Holy Communion and baptism and preside over Mass, memorials and other special services.

Our Chapel

The Hospital Chapel is a quiet place for reflection and prayer where visitors find welcome respite in an atmosphere of tranquility and simple beauty. More than a place for private prayer, the Chapel easily accommodates groups for weekly Mass, daily ecumenical prayer services, as well as a number of special liturgies and services held over the course of the year. Additionally, since 1994, the Chapel has been home for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, participants from the local community and beyond can be found in prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. The Chapel is truly the spiritual heart of the Hospital; the place for any and all to encounter our loving God and to emerge refreshed and renewed in His Spirit!
