HSHS St. John's Hospital offers several ways for you to recognize our colleagues that have provided you or your loved ones extraordinary care.

Nominate a deserving recipient for The DAISY or BEE Award. This nomination means that a colleague's clinical skill and especially his/her COMPASSIONATE care exemplify the kind of caregiver that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. Please describe a specific situation or story that clearly demonstrates how this colleague made a meaningful difference in your care, as well as how the colleague demonstrated our core values of RESPECT, CARE, COMPETENCE and JOY.

The DAISY Award for Nursing

The DAISY Award is an national program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary, compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day. Patients, visitors, nurses, physicians, employees may nominate a deserving nurse by filling out a Daisy Award nomination. If interested in recognizing one of your nurses for this award, ask a member of your care team for a DAISY nomination form or submit online.

BEE Award

The BEE (Being Extraordinary Everyday) Award was established to recognize the colleagues who go beyond expectations outside of nursing. Just as a daisy cannot survive without the bee, our nurses rely on support of other staff to offer extraordinary care. If you would like to recognize a member of your care team, outside of nursing, please ask a member of your care team for a BEE Award nomination form or submit online.
