Women who choose HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital for delivery get information on all aspects of the birth experience. 

Birthing rooms are spacious and feature many comforts of home. Physicians visit daily to check up on you and your baby and our nurses will help prepare you on how to care for your new baby and make sure you ready to return home.

A more comfortable and modern birth experience is on the way

HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is renovating the Women & Infants Center to create an even more welcoming, modern environment for growing families. With upgraded spaces, new equipment, and thoughtful amenities, these improvements will support a calm, comfortable, and confident birthing experience.

Construction is underway and expected to be completed by July 2026. Throughout the project, the Women & Infants Center will remain fully operational. Patients can continue to expect the same high-quality, compassionate care they know and trust. 

Planned enhancements include modernized labor and delivery rooms, a dedicated tub room to support labor comfort, a refreshed nursery, and an improved nurse station to enhance care coordination and efficiency. Each upgrade is focused on supporting mothers, babies, and families at every stage of their hospital stay.
