Join us for a free monthly support group open to all moms and pregnant women who wish to learn new ideas, share experiences and gain confidence in breastfeeding. Led by a certified lactation specialist, this support group will address topics including:

Infant feeding cues
Latching
Milk supply
Low weight gain in babies
Nutrition
Pumping
Sore breasts
Storage of breast milk
Breastfeeding an adopted baby or twins
Breastfeeding and returning to work

Registration is free. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss concerns, build camaraderie and receive education and support in a relaxed environment. Babies are encouraged to attend. Support people are welcome.

This 1 hour group is available virtually.

A Zoom link will be shared upon registration.

Support groups are held every third Thursday of each month.

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP CONSENT FOR PARTICIPATION As a participant (“Participant”) in the Breastfeeding Support Group (“Group”) offered at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital (“Hospital”), I understand and agree to the following

The Group is a support group open to all mothers who wish to learn new ideas, share experiences, and gain confidence in breastfeeding. The Group is led by a certified lactation specialist. I understand and acknowledge that the Group does not provide medical advice or treatment and does not take the place of medical care for myself or for my child.

The Group may be offered in person at Hospital, or online via Zoom. I understand there are privacy risks inherent in online video communications, and waive any claims or damages resulting therefrom.

The Group is intended to be a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants will be expected to follow all rules and behavioral expectations of the Group. Failure to do so may result in being dismissed from the Group. Group reserves the right to dismiss individuals from participation in the Group at any time.

While Group leaders may help me identify feeding issues, I understand that I am responsible for seeking medical care and treatment for my child for feeding or medical concerns. By signing below, I assume all responsibility for my participation in the Group and hereby waive any and all personal injury, liability, or other claims against Hospital, its agents and employees, which may arise in connection with my participation in the Group.
