HSHS Medical Group welcomes Michael V. Comerford, MD, a board-certified internal medicine and pediatrics physician, to HSHS Medical Group Family and Internal Medicine at 176 W. Mound Road, in Decatur.
Dr. Comerford provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns through adulthood. He helps patients manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, stay current on preventive screenings and address acute illnesses. Dr. Comerford earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology and psychology, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University in St. Louis. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, and completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics in Minneapolis where he served as chief resident. He is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
