Pathway to Success

Pathway to Success (P2S) is designed to assist the student in developing effective test-taking strategies, writing, and study skills.

Students complete a preliminary assessment to explore what areas they can expand on to aid them in future learning.

Assessment Objectives

This individualized assessment assists the student to identify

Learning styles
How to read and discern questions
Time management
Focused skills for studying and test-taking

Resources

Resources to support student academic success are coordinated via the Student Development Officer and include:

Peer tutors
Alumni tutors
Faculty led study groups
Faculty Advisors
Writing Assistance
Weekly P2S study labs

Ask for Help

P2S is a shared teaching-learning responsibility at St. John's College among students, faculty and staff. Therefore, students should feel free to ask for help as needed, even as a preventive measure, to ensure their learning experience toward becoming a professional nurse.
