Balance. Health. Resilience.
At St. John’s College, we understand that nursing school is demanding—academically, emotionally, and physically. That’s why we encourage all students to prioritize their well-being, even if we don’t have a formal recreation program or fitness facility on campus.
Whether you’re squeezing in a walk between classes or looking for mental health support, this page connects you with resources to support a healthier, more balanced student experience.
Your Wellness Matters
While our college doesn’t offer dorm-based fitness centers or recreation clubs, we support your wellness in ways that fit your life:
- Pop-up wellness events: On-campus stress-relief activities during finals week or lunch hours
- Quiet spaces for rest or reflection on campus
- Access to health and counseling services via HSHS and community partners
- Peer-led initiatives like wellness walks, mindfulness groups, or service events
Wellness Events & Resources
Wellness activities may be offered throughout the semester, such as:
- Guided mindfulness breaks
- Community service days
- Virtual wellness challenges
- Health promotion campaigns (e.g., hydration, sleep, nutrition)
