Alumni

The St. John’s College Alumni Association members include graduates from the diploma school and the College of Nursing. Many St. John’s alumni generously support current students with scholarships helping to educate the next generation of nurses.

St. John’s College grew from a training program founded in 1886 by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis to train Sisters becoming the first Catholic Hospital School of Nursing in the United States.  As time passed, the college expanded to include lay persons, with the first three lay women graduating in 1916, when the first graduation ceremony was held on June 30, 1916 (McDougall, Sr. A. Class Agent Program

Each year, in collaboration with the HSHS St. John’s College Foundation the Class Agent Program raises money for St. John's College. Being a Class Agent is a great way to get in touch with your classmates and to be involved in an important effort to support the college and its students. As a Class Agent you will be asked to sign a pre-written letter that is then mailed to your classmates, explaining the need for student scholarships and other strategic initiatives at the college and asking for their support by contributing. Class Agents help raise funds for St. John’s College of Nursing each year.

If you are interested in being a Class Agent for the next year’s campaign, please email [email protected]. This is a great low effort way to be involved in supporting your alma mater.
