June 11, 2026
St. John’s College of Nursing has achieved continuing accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, reaffirming the college's commitment to academic excellence.
ACEN accreditation serves as an important measure of quality in nursing education. It demonstrates that St. John’s College of Nursing continues to meet rigorous national standards related to curriculum, faculty qualifications, student outcomes, resources and continuous quality improvement.
“This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, students and clinical partners to excellence in nursing education,” said Dr. Traci Krause, Chancellor of St. John’s College of Nursing. “Reaffirmation of ACEN accreditation through 2033 recognizes the strength of our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and our unwavering commitment to student success, academic excellence, and preparing future nurses to lead and serve with compassion. We are honored to continue educating the next generation of nurses who will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families and communities.”
ACEN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the quality of nursing education programs around the globe. It is recognized as an accrediting body by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education.
The BSN program at St. John’s College of Nursing prepares students for professional nursing practice through strong clinical preparation, faculty support and hands-on learning. Students complete extensive clinical experiences in acute care, specialty units and community settings, supported by simulation-based learning and small class sizes.
